iPhone Bars ‘Totally Wrong’: Apple ‘Stunned’ To Find Phone Shows Too Many Bars Of Signal Strength

So I guess Apple are saying that having now focused their attention on the performance of the phone in the various “death grip” positions that they have not detected the same fall off in performance as the bars would indicate, and on further investigation found that the bar display formula was more a graphic that a performance meter. OK, that is good, in the future the graphic will have a more rigorous performance basis which will help people reduce battery drain by helping them find the best signal strength areas during calls.
